Grain prices rise in June

Average purchase and distribution prices for rice, wheat and corn in China edged up in June from a month earlier as a result of rising global demand for the development of biofuels, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top economic planning agency. National average purchase and distribution prices for rice, wheat and corns grew by 0.9% during the month, according to Xinhua (in Chinese).
