Coca-Cola, the world's largest beverage maker, said Monday it plans to pour US$80 million to set up a new research center and headquarters in China, one of its fastest-growing markets, CBN reported (in Chinese). The facility will be located in Shanghai's Minhang District and is scheduled to open late 2008. Coca-Cola is interested in high value-added dairy drinks, and the center will develop these products specifically for Asian markets, said Doug Jackson, Coca-Cola China's president.
