Suning signs ECR agreement with Haier

Suning, a major Chinese electrical appliance retailer, has signed an Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) agreement with Haier, its largest supplier, China Securities News (in Chinese) reported. The ECR operation system is a supply chain management system that aims to increase the efficiency of overall supply chains and reduce unnecessary cost in retail and manufacturing operations. Analysts said the new systems would reduce product launch periods from three to one month. The agreement also gives Suning exclusive rights to launch Haier products.
