Lenovo Group Ltd is in talks to buy a stake in Dutch computer maker Packard Bell, the Wall Street Journal reported. Details of the investmnt were not disclosed. "Currently the discussions are exclusive to Lenovo," a Packard Bell spokesperson said. Packard Bell, the fourth-largest seller of desktop computers in the consumer sector in Western Europe and the sixth-largest vendor of notebooks in the consumer sector, could help Lenovo expand its product base in the European market. "It's not a major acquisition, but it allows them to jump a spot in terms of market share in the Western European market," said Richard Shim, an analyst at IDC.
