Macau hotel to provide free Olympic service
13 August 2007
Lai Chun Olympic Hotel, a new five-star hotel owned by a Macau company, will be built in Beijing to offer free service to the 2008 Olympic Games, Xinhua reported (in Chinese). The hotel will be located in downtown Wangfujing Street and will have a construction area of over 130,000 square meters. The Southern European-styled luxury hotel will be completed in March next year. According to Lai Chun Macau head Chow Kam-fai, the hotel will be designated as the official reception hotel for the Beijing Olympics for free use during the games. The move, he said, demonstrates his desire to "repay the motherland."
