The State Council has approved a new inter-ministry cooperation system for work safety accidents, Xinhua reported (in Chinese). The system, led by the Ministry of Supervision, will also include the public security and justice ministries, the State Administration of Work Safety, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate. The aim of the system will be to strengthen information sharing and coordination on serious work safety accidents, identify responsibility for accidents and crack down on criminal activities such as trying to hide an accident, delaying the release of information or fleeing from the scene.
