Italian sports car maker Maserati has announced a global recall of its newly released Quattroporte sedans, of which 56 have been sold in China, Xinhua reported (in Chinese). The batch of vehicles made before April 5 contained defects in the electronic control systems that could cause the cars to become uncontrollable at extreme speeds, said Aqsiq, China's quality inspection agency. No accidents involving the cars had been reported before the recall announcement.
