Baosteel, China's largest steel maker, has completed construction of the second phase of Majishan Port near the estuary of the Yangtze River, Xinhua reported (in Chinese). The new port, owned and operated by Baosteel, includes a 300,000-metric-ton capacity unloading berth and two loading berths with capacities of 10,000 and 50,000 metric tons, respectively. The annual throughput of Majishan Port is expected to double from the first phase to 50 million metric tons. The enlarged capacity of the port will provide logistical support for the company's new round of development.
