Brilliance opens fourth overseas auto factory

Brilliance Auto announced that it has signed a contract with Russia's Irito-Invest to set up a factory in Russia on Tuesday, Economic Observer reported (in Chinese). The Shenyang, Liaoning province-based automaker said manufacturing will start in next January, with aims of selling 100,000 units of its own-brand sedan, Zhonghua Junjie. in the next five years. The Russian base will become Brilliance's fourth overseas plant. The company already has auto factories in Egypt, North Korean and Vietnam.
