China's first anti-doping agency was launched yesterday, AP reported. The China Anti-Doping Agency, will be used as a testing site during the Beijing Olympics. It will also oversee an ongoing campaign against illegal factories that make steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. The agency will have 60 staff, but will take in foreign experts next year to bring the number to more than 100. The Beijing games will run 4,500 drug tests, compared to the 3,700 tests at the Athens games. Chinese triathlete Wang Hongni was banned for two years for doping last month.
