Baidu, UiTV launch online TV program

Chinese online search giant Baidu announced the launch of a free online interactive TV program with partner UiTV on Thursday, Economic Observer reported (in Chinese). Under the agreement, Baidu will handle online orders for the program and produce movie and TV content while UiTV will provide the program's operating platform. The two parties will share the advertising revenues, said Zhou Yin, director of the content and business development department of UiTV. UiTV is China's only fully licensed private internet video program provider.
