Huaneng, Guangdong Nuclear to team up on Shandong project

Huaneng Group, one of China's five major power companies, has signed an agreement with China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group on a nuclear power project based in Shandong, Economic Observer reported (in Chinese). The companies plan to build four 1 million-kilowatt pressurized water reactors in two phases. The project will be located in Weihai, Shandong province. The agreement was signed following the completion of a feasibility study on the project.
