China Mobile chief rekindles iPhone rumors

China Mobile CEO Wang Jianzhou expressed renewed interest in bringing Apple's iPhone to the mainland, saying he "had not yet officially begun talks" with the US company, but was interested in doing so, Reuters reported. Wang made the remarks to reporters in Beijing on the sidelines of the National People's Congress. He added that China Mobile, which is the world's largest mobile-phone operator, "will keep all options open," regarding bringing the iPhone to China. The surprise announcement comes after the mainland giant supposedly walked away from negotiations with Apple in January over revenue-sharing disagreements. Apple has never officially commented on the issue.
