China, Laos sign cooperation agreements

China and Laos signed seven cooperation agreements after talks in Vientiane between Premier Wen Jiabao and his counterpart Bouasone Bouphavanh, state media reported. The agreements concerned technology, energy and other sectors. Both sides agreed to expand trade and investment while increasing cooperation in infrastructure development, national defense, education, and science and technology. Wen will attend the third Greater Mekong Subregion Summit on Monday, along with the premiers of Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
