China consumes more than twice what its natural resources can produce, according to a report by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), AP reported. The report said that China uses 15% of the world's total biological capacity, which includes resources like water, land and timber. In 2003, China ranked 69th out of 147 countries in terms of the amount of land a person needs to support their lifestyle, a metric known as 'global acres,' the report said. The average Chinese required 3.95 global acres that year.
