Dairy products pass melamine tests
13 October 2008
Government tests of liquid dairy products found they met new restrictions on melamine levels, state media reported. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine conducted tests on 532 batches of liquid milk and yogurt from 69 domestic brands in 23 cities. To date, 4,213 batches from 131 brands have been tested since September 14 and found to comply with limits. New restrictions on melamine were introduced last week.
