Google's Android 'won't be limited' in China

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology won't limit the use of Google's Android mobile operating system by domestic operators, the Wall Street Journal reported. "As long as it complies with Chinese laws and regulations, and as long as it has good cooperation with operators ... their use of the system won't be limited," the ministry's spokesman Zhu Hongren said. It was the first time an official had commented on the outlook of Google's Android since the search giant's revelation that it was considering pulling out of China following a "cyber attack" as well as conflicts over government censorship. Google later announced that it was delaying the launch of two Android-based phones on the China market.
