Chinese firms lack 3G patents

[photopress:3G_thumb.gif,full,alignright]According to Norson Telecom Chinese firms only have 30% to 40% of TD-SCDMA patents for 3G phone technology. The main patents are controlled by foreign firms. Norson said "Chinese firms have to cooperate with big foreign companies, even on TD-SCDMA, as they can't avoid the intellectual property rights barrier."
