[photopress:it_internet_user.jpg,full,alignright]The Beijing Morning Post reports a recent survey shows that due to high work pressure and long work hours, many people who work in the media and deal a lot with computers are in a sub-healthy condition.

98% of the people who work in Internet industry say their health has worsened.

More than 80% of them think that working in Internet industry might lead to some mental problems.

Sitting in front of a computer at 4.41 am it is very easy for me to agree with this. Shortly I will have to take my tablets.

The survey was done by several large Internet media. Most of the respondents work in IT industry, media editing, designing, computer programming or Internet advertising fields. These people spend a lot more time dealing with computers at work and therefore they are vulnerable to the bad effects brought by computers than ordinary netizens.

“I have to use computers every day. Now, my skin has become rougher.”
“I spend much time surfing on the Internet and I have had a lot of hair loss recently.”
98% of the respondents have had problems such as poor eyesight, deteriorated immune system, joints sore or rough skins.
61% complain that they often have neck, wrist or back sore.
More than 50% of the people working in Internet industry often feel tired.
Some people who work in the Internet industry have displayed some mental problems.
The majority of people working in the industry believe the work can make one depressed, become easily irritated or feel isolated from the real life.

Experts believe that long-time exposure to computer radiation, incorrect sitting posture and lack of exercises will all cause some physical problems. In addition, high work pressure and lack of communication among people will make some people working in the industry suffer from mental problems. Which is probably why I run eight kilometers every morning.
