An official from the Beijing Games organizers said Chinese residents will soon be able to buy official 2008 Beijing Olympics products online.

Starting from next month, Chinese residents will be able to buy 2008 Olympic products from web, but the official responsible for licensed products sales management in the organizing committee declined to reveal the name of the service provider.

Tang Yonghong said, ‘We’ll release the information soon and this one only deals with domestic sales.’

Tang said they will select another company to carry the international online sales service.

China’s Daily Economy News quoted an anonymous source inside the organizing committee saying an agreement was signed between the service provider and Games organizers.

The source also told the newspaper more than half of all the licensed Olympic products can be purchased from the site, except for goods of extra large size and expensive products.
